Governor-elect Josh Stein Provides Transition Update
(RALEIGH) Governor-elect Josh Stein today provided an update about his transition team and its progress. Governor-elect Stein’s transition team includes professionals, non-profit leaders, government officials, and business leaders from across North Carolina. A full list of the committee heads of the transition team is below.
In addition, the portal at www.stein2024transition.org has received over 2,000 submissions to join the Stein Administration. The transition team is reviewing these applications and will begin to conduct interviews in the coming days.
The Stein Transition Team has also received 70 ideas via the Submit Your Idea page on the transition website. If you have an idea about how the Stein Administration can better serve our state, please share your thoughts.

Stein has formed 11 transition committees that correspond to each Cabinet Agency – Administration, Adult Correction, Commerce, Environmental Quality, Health and Human Services, Information Technology, Military and Veterans Affairs, Natural and Cultural Resources, Public Safety, Revenue, and Transportation.
He has also formed committees focused on Boards and Commissions, Human Resources, Budget, Legal Counsels, Communications, Policy, and Legislative Liaisons.
